1 lb lean ground beef, or mixture of ground beef and pork
2 cups Cavena Oats, cooked and drained
1 large can whole tomatoes with juice3 cups coarsley chopped cabbage, boiled till tender-crisp
1 can tomato soup
3 tbsp. dehydrated ground tomatoes or 2 - 3 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. fresh ground pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
2 or 3 cloves garlic, crushed or garlic powder
1 tbsp. hot sauce (optional)
Pre-cook Cavena Oats, drain any remaining water, put in large bowl.
Coarsely chop and boil cabbage till tender-crisp. Drain and add oats.
Brown and crumble meat, drain well, add to bowl.
Add tomatoes, soup, tomato paste and seasonings. Mix well, spoon into oven safe caserole dish.
Cover and cook in 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour. Remove cover and cook for an additional 1/2 hour.
